Who am I?

My name is Michael Norton and I am a coder, designer and interaction specialist with a black belt in minimalism and a obsession with typography.

I'm a fan of web standards and using nature as inspiration for organic structure. I look ahead to the future and watch for the next big thing, and how it can make websites better.

What do I stand for?

Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away. The internet doesn't have to be complicated. After all, everyone has to use it.

I use interaction and visual design to craft harmony from even the most chaotic content.

What's my story?

I'm 20, I'm a Mac user and I design websites for a living. I've been intrigued by computers for a good chunk of my life, going so far as to build my own.

I'm a recent graduate of CapU's Interactive Design program and I've just completed an internship at mod7, a local award-winning development studio in Downtown Vancouver.

Do I have cred?

Well, only have a few projects under my belt, but look no further than the Capilano University Community Development & Outreach program for some praise of my work.

After showing the instructors the completed site, their comments were very positive, including the fact that my design really "got" who they are and what they do. I can't think of higher praise.
